Honey x Sparky 2009 litter  

After much thought and conversation with others who know the breed, we decided to breed Honey to enhance her Mohns heritage.   Honey has a very even temperament, has a great nose for hunting vermin and woodchucks, and is very agile (clears our pasture fencing easily!).  She loves to do as "I" please.  She can easily move our flock of sheep by gathering, or driving- although she prefers to gather.   Honey is very good at reading my face and movements and the behavior of the animals that we are working.  Honey is my "right hand man" when it comes to getting things done on the farm.

Beebe's Royal Sparky is Honey's paternal grandsire and is 1/2 Mohns.  I first met Sparky last year when I went to Beebe's to pick up Lola and her sisters.  He was a little reserved the first time we met, greeted me quietly and escorted me around the farm.  He had no hesitation about coming up to greet me this time!  Sparky is a very outgoing and enthusiastic dog.  He has a very even temperament and personality; is very athletic (is quite able to climb over fencing!); and has wonderful recall.

We are excited about the prospects of this litter!  We are accepting reservations in the amount of $200.   The deposit is nonrefundable unless we do not have a pup that is suitable for your needs.  Deposit is applied to purchase price of pup.  Preference will be given to farm/working homes. Pups are placed at the discretion of the breeder.

Most pups in this litter are black & white, but some are developing tan color. 

It will be another week or so before we are fairly sure what color they will stay.
